Online courses are very important because they can get to more people than just a regular go to class.  Testing is a must to keep the student a tuned to where they are in each module.

Online learning is really good but students need more stimuli to keep them engaged in continual learning.

Its very important that know how to access all information thats needed for continual learning.

Discussions are the "meat and potatoes" of getting any topic to your class. Lecture methods vary, but discussion methods also do. Online lectures are a little more difficult to maintain engagement because the students are not in a classroom having live conversations.

Just as there are many intelligences, we must create diverse learning methodologies.

I learned that Instructional System Design (ISD) for online courses involves four phases: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. Analysis identifies the target audience, content, and learning outcomes. The design phase outlines instructional media, presentations, activities, and assessments. A variety of media strategies, such as text, audio, graphics, and video, are used to engage students.

To promote student engagement and participation, ISD incorporates peer feedback, self-evaluation rubrics, and teamwork opportunities. Group assignments and discussions encourage students to apply their knowledge and share ideas. Clear communication and instructor support are essential.

I learned about applying critical thinking skills in this module when creating a syllabus. Analyzing the grading criteria, including quizzes, was particularly informative. I discovered that quizzes can serve as motivational tools, helping students build confidence. Additionally, providing timely feedback on quiz results is essential, allowing students to learn from their mistakes and improve their performance on future exams.
